Today, we’re introducing a preview of Studyable Voice Tutor, a personal tutor for students that’s always available and ready to help. With Voice Tutor, students can get personalized assistance anytime, anywhere, for a variety of subjects such as mathematics, science, and humanities, at various levels.

Making high quality teaching available to everyone

Our mission when developing Voice Tutor was to build a tool that gives everyone access to an infinitely patient personal tutor that’s always available. We believe Voice Tutor represents a major paradigm shift in educational technology — high quality, personalized, and engaging teaching will soon be accessible to everyone, reducing the barrier to receiving a high quality education.

Voice Tutor is a generative AI system designed for learning that can hear and speak, allowing for natural spoken conversations. It senses and responds to interruptions, emotions, and humor, so it's like you're having a real conversation with your own personal tutor.

It’s also able to see — students can share their screen and camera, allowing Voice Tutor to help with anything they’re working on. This means Voice Tutor can assist with lesson slides, homework, essays, and more.

And, Voice Tutor is equipped the same powerful tools available in Study Chat, including web browsing which gives Voice Tutor access to current knowledge, and our Math Engine, allowing Voice Tutor to perform complex calculations and mathematical reasoning accurately.

We think Voice Tutor is a huge leap forward for education, allowing students to access personalized learning from a tutor that’s patient and doesn’t judge, encouraging students to feel comfortable asking even the most simple questions to solidify their understanding. With Voice Tutor, every student will get the special attention and instruction they need to learn and succeed.

Built into Studyable

Voice Tutor is integrated with the entire Studyable ecosystem, allowing it to assist students with their studies in a multitude of ways.

Voice Tutor will be available in Study Chat, so students can create custom AI assistants for subjects and add knowledge such as their syllabuses, class notes, and more, and converse with Voice Tutor to expand and test their knowledge.

Studyable Essay Grader paired with Voice Tutor will allow students to receive personalized verbal feedback on their writing.

And, Voice Tutor will be able to create Flashcards sets, and interactively teach and quiz students on their Flashcards.

Next steps

We’re testing Voice Tutor with high school and university students to learn more about how it can be used to assist with learning, and we look forward to sharing more about general availability in the coming months.
